We were recently contacted by a lady who asked us to provide a Certificate of Compliance for a home in Beaconsfield she was wanting to sell.
Before we could give the property the required certificate we needed to replace the existing switchboard, which had old asbestos rewireable fuses in it and no RCD protection, with a brand new switchboard.
This also required a new main earth conductor, which involved earthing to a new earth stake and a bond on the water pipe in order to meet the current regulations. Smoke alarms were also installed throughout the property.
All of the above are common jobs we do for property owners to help them get their houses compliant for sale or rent.
